As a platform, Prezivio provides certain built-in protections for both seniors and caregivers on every service.
All payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant third-party processors. Your card data is never stored on Prezivio servers. Every transaction is encrypted and logged.
✓ IncludedPrezivio provides a structured dispute resolution process for billing disagreements, service quality concerns, and charge disputes. Our team mediates fairly between seniors and providers.
✓ IncludedEvery provider has passed a 5-layer background check, identity verification, and credential validation before they are allowed on the platform. This is our commitment to your safety.
✓ IncludedProviders offering transportation services are required to maintain personal auto insurance meeting Maryland minimums. Prezivio verifies this during onboarding but does not provide coverage.
⚠ Provider's InsurancePrezivio does not carry general liability insurance for in-home care incidents. Providers are encouraged to carry personal liability coverage. Seniors may wish to verify their homeowner's policy.
⚠ Third-Party CoveragePrezivio services are generally not reimbursable through Medicare, Medicaid, or private health insurance as we are a private-pay platform. Some long-term care insurance policies may cover services.

Most standard health insurance plans (including Medicare and Medicaid) do not cover private-pay companion care. However, Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) policies sometimes cover these services. Check with your insurer or insurance agent.
Some Prezivio services may be eligible for payment using Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds — particularly medication management and personal care. Consult your HSA/FSA administrator for eligibility.
Veterans may be eligible for non-medical home care through the VA Aid & Attendance benefit. If you are a veteran or surviving spouse, contact the VA or a VSO to determine eligibility for in-home care assistance.
